Are there any hidden fees in your pricing?

Never. All pricing is clearly listed upfront, and any additional services or fees will be discussed before work begins. No surprises—just CommonCents.

Do you offer flexible payment plans?

Yes, for services over $500 we require a 50% deposit and offer installment options. Let’s talk—I’m happy to work out a payment schedule that fits your needs.

What payment methods do you accept?

Can I upgrade or change my pricing plan later?

General Tax Questions

What documents do I need to file my taxes?

You’ll typically need your T4s, T5s, RRSP contribution slips, tuition receipts (T2202), rental or self-employment income details, and any other slips like T4A, T5007, etc. We’ll send you a full checklist when you’re ready to file.

How long does it take to get my tax refund?

If filed electronically with direct deposit set up, most refunds arrive within 8–10 business days. Paper filing or missing info can slow things down.

Can I file past tax returns with you?

Yes! We file current and prior year tax returns, and we can also help with adjustments, corrections, or catching up on late filings.

Do you file for self-employed individuals?

Absolutely. Whether you’re a freelancer, sole proprietor, or side hustler—we’ve got you covered with tax filing, expense tracking, and GST/HST support.

Can you help with business taxes and incorporation?

Yes—we provide corporate tax filing (T2), bookkeeping, payroll, GST/HST filings, and support for newly incorporated businesses in Ontario. We also assist with federal nonprofit setup and grant-related financials.

Do you offer bookkeeping services?

Yes. We offer monthly, quarterly, and annual bookkeeping packages starting at $100/month. Pricing depends on your business volume and complexity—custom quotes available.

Can you file GST/HST returns for my business?

Absolutely. We file monthly, quarterly, and annual GST/HST returns and offer catch-up and amendment services. We can also assist with new registrations if you’re just getting started.

Do you work with incorporated businesses?

Yes—we provide full T2 corporate tax filing services for small, medium, and complex corporations. Our rates are customized to match your structure and reporting needs.

Can you help my nonprofit stay compliant?

Definitely. We support nonprofits with bookkeeping, financial reporting, budget planning, and CRA compliance. We also assist with federal incorporation and charitable status applications.

What if I’m just starting my business?

We love working with startups! We’ll help you get set up with proper records, CRA accounts, and give guidance on taxes, payroll, and more.
